Sketchbooks will be used every art class for sketching ideas for a specific art lesson of the week, still-life sketching to improve drawing skills, using "How to Draw" books, or simply drawing from the imagination. Drawing is a passion for my students. Drawing may rate as the number one favorite art activity in art class. When my students are finished with their assigned class art project, they cannot wait to get the "How to Draw" books and start drawing. Some students love to create their own "Super Hero", Princess Fairy or cute little kittens and puppies. Presently, the students staple copy paper to make their own sketchbook, but having their very own real sketchbook will be a visual journal they will cherish for a long time.
