Research has shown that students are more engaged in learning when there is flexible seating available. I’d like to start making my classroom more of a flexible seating arrangement. Also, I’m always adding new books to my collection, so my students have access to all kinds of books. Please help me give my students access to these high interest engaging books. During independent reading time, the students will have their own book bags with books they have checked out. They will pick their own area to sit and read while I work with small groups. I like to make my classroom like their second home, so that’s why I love having pillows, bean bag chairs, etc in the class.
