My students are 5th graders, and I have not met them yet. The school is a very small school that lacks a lot of supplies. But, it is a close knit community that seems very friendly. I have heard from other teachers that the students do not like to write. So, I will have to find fun ways to get them to enjoy writing. I will also have two autistic children, so I will have to find resources that will be helpful for them also. I will be teaching language arts with two classes of 13, and a social studies class, and maybe an art class as well. I know the other teachers have told me that there are no art supplies at the school either.
