A Q-Ball is a soft ball that has a microphone built in. This is an incredible resource for a classroom because it can be used every single day for a variety of activities. The most important thing about having this in my classroom is it will allow every student's voice to be heard. Facilitating classroom discussions is something I like to do often. I believe in the power of my students' thoughts and words, and they often provide different perspectives. Managing a discussion is important to ensure that each student feels validated and heard. A Qball not only serves as a visual for the students so they know who should be speaking, it serves as a technology component to amplify their voice. I believe my students will love having a Q-Ball in the classroom. They are so eager to participate and learn, and having a new tool to increase the effectiveness of our discussions will create positive outcomes for all of my students.
