Although my students come from a high poverty region, they are eagerness to learn and be advocates of their future is nothing short of inspiring. As Scholars, the way we refer to each other, they are excited to develop their skills as readers, writers, thinkers and speakers. My students have dreams to create a different narrative that has plagued the Mississippi Delta through their commitment to their education. To further to develop these skills certain school supplies are essential. As their teacher I want to make sure that my students are equipped with the necessary tools for a successful school year.

About my class
