My students are a great group of children-hard working, kind, and full of personality. I teach in a general education classroom made up of many different needs and levels, including English Language Learners. Our school is in New York City, and has a 97% poverty rate. Many students live in shelters and all students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students are below grade level and lack prior knowledge and vocabulary. We work hard to keep morale up and expectations high!
