I am setting up a shopping shelf for my students this year that may not have access to basic necessities. It will include feminine hygiene, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, hair ties, deodorant, etc. and also little brown bags for them to put stuff in. I am also going to set up a mental health board so I can check in on their mental well being. I think that both of these would be very beneficial to my students. Most of my students are low income or live in poverty, and these necessities aren't readily available to them. I learned last year that most of these students struggle to get these items that are not only beneficial to their health, but also to their education. Your donation will help ensure that my female students have access to basic necessities and that I have a way to evaluate their mental health discreetly on a weekly basis. Middle school is such a crucial time for girls, and your donations will help make these years a positive experience for them.
