I am currently a first grade teacher at a K-8 school. First graders have an amazing enthusiasm for learning and for life. Each day they look to discover new things and take part in activities that are engaging and challenging. Civic responsibility and leadership are a main focus at my school and students are always looking for ways to better themselves as individuals. I consider myself very lucky to have the opportunity to work with such amazing and inspirational children. As an educator it is my responsibility to focus on student's positive attributes and behaviors and to instill a sense of self-worth among my students. I continuously stress the importance of being accountable for our own learning and reflecting on our approaches to learning. All those who make up our school community are dedicated to helping the students achieve their goals. We are constantly looking for ways to enhance instruction and student learning.
