The students at my school are from diverse backgrounds. We are a Title One school that is 70% low SES. The students are motivated by hands on learning and are very creative when exposed to problem based learning. Our school is staffed by incredible educators who work long hours to care for every student and meet his or her needs. Our 520 students benefit from a PBIS - Positive Behaviors and Intervention Supports program which develops PRIDE in our students. The students take Personal responsibility, Respect, Individual readiness, Demonstrated learning, and Effective behavior to build success within themselves. Our school has made great strides over the last few years to reach a rating of good and we are striving for the excellence level and believe we can reach it by introducing innovative programs that integrate research and technology in the core academic areas.
