We live in an age where students use technology frequently to help improve their learning. They use technology to read, use apps to improve comprehension, utilize the Internet to explore the world, and find new and exciting ways to expand their horizons. These tablets will provide these students with the tools they need to continue to grow and learn. Many do not have access at home and, therefore, they rely upon the school. However, like many schools, recent budget cuts have left us short handed when it comes to providing the much needed technology. These tablets will help our class to overcome these barriers. Our students will be able to use Achieve more easily which is a proven program that raises students reading level substantially through diligent usage because these tablets will provide them that much needed access to it. Students will also be able to read more texts because they will have a digital library at their fingertips. They will even be able to use apps that have been proven to improve vocabulary and reading comprehension. Quite simply, this project will add 6 additional tools for success to our classroom which is priceless.
