I will be teaching 6th and 7th graders this year in a trilingual magnet academy in Flagstaff, AZ. I am excited to explore subjects deeply and take the kiddos on an adventure in learning! What I love most about being a project-based, arts-integrated teacher is that I get to cultivate imagination. It is AWESOME! However, it is also extremely challenging to make sure I feed curiosity in a way that is engaging. Our classroom will be intense, imaginative and autonomous, which is great in education; I don't want to get complacent in my teaching. With Donors Choose, I will have the opportunity to create a classroom that allows for creativity in their learning. The new books will allow us to go on adventures through exploration of other cultures, while celebrating the diversity in our classroom. The white boards will support our math learning with the availability of additional manipulatives and practice supports.
