My students come from various backgrounds and it is our job in class to find common ground with each other. Some of my students come from very privileged families while other students are already working to provide for their families. My school has done a wonderful job of implementing a social and emotional curriculum that allows all the students to feel safe and secure in our building. We're not perfect nor do we claim to be, but we are making the best of all our challenges.
