I am a fourth grade teacher in Charleston, South Carolina. Currently, I have 27 students, all of which come from varying socioeconomic backgrounds. Over half of my students receive free or reduced lunch. While this may be a fact about my students, it certainly does NOT describe them. I can honestly say that my students come to school with a positive attitude and are ready to learn, despite their family income. Not only are they excited about learning, they each have wonderful, fun and entertaining personalities. Not a day goes by that I don't laugh out loud or feel honored to work with such an amazing group.
