Through Virtual Reality Fuels Education, Dr. Arlene Garcia will introduce Virtual Reality Learning in her classroom to allow students to enhance learning. Due to the advancements in technology, students will use VR apps to anchor their studies along with educational apps such as Public Speaking and 360 cameras. This virtual reality approach to learning will offer exciting opportunities for heterogeneous groups of students from a variety of economic, social, and cultural backgrounds to access knowledge and assessments in a largely paperless classroom. List of educational apps to enhance learning. Public Speaking VR – practice the skills of public speaking with this immersive VR experience. With photorealistic environments, students can prepare for a job interview of a class presentation. Sites in VR: visit historical and legal landmarks. Using a 360-degree camera, the team staged an imaginative crime scene. Merge cube: translates cube into an educational object: i.e. gavel Oculus Go Standalone Virtual Reality Headset - 32GB Oculus VR for students without mobile devices. Students will be able to: • Recreate crime scenes with VR apps • Visit legal and historical sites • Analyze data to understand trends My students will use these virtual reality goggles to learn about the legal system and to enhance their educational experience. In addition to accessing various educational apps (such as Google Translate and Public Speaking, etc.), my students’ learning will be revolutionized. The use of apps helps to individualize lessons, but also allow students to monitor progress and target weaknesses. This class set of goggles will add a new dimension to my student's lessons. The added technology will promote interest in learning, and ultimately increase content knowledge. Students will be able to recreate the learning experience. Students will be able to use educational apps to enhance the learning experience.
