The Directors Kit kitchen tools that I am requesting will be used to aide six class periods of a Principles of Human Services (or as I like to call it, "Adulting 101") class where students will learn about food and kitchen safety, nutrition, and how to create easy, nutritious meals and snacks. These sets include: pots, pans, towels, knives, cutting boards, and much more. Students will use these sets to learn skills such as how to stir, chop, mix, blend, saute, toast, whisk, measure, organize, wash and sanitize like a real chef! These skills will help build their fine motor skills, and confidence in the kitchen. These supplies will allow students to quickly and efficiently find the supplies they need based on color-coded kitchens. Students will enhance their social skills as well while they work in teams to complete a task.
