Covid-19 has impacted learning for many students across the board. We have seen a drastic impact on Special Education students. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic there has been a drop in the ability to do hands-on learning. Special Education students are eager and excited to learn. They learn best through hands-on activities and manipulatives. The games and activities we chose can be used in small groups. They also can be wiped down and clean in order to still maintain safety protocols. By donating to our project, our students will have access to much needed occupational therapy supplies, executive functioning games and reading activities that will make learning more enjoyable and increase their academic achievement. Our students do not always fit in a traditional desk and chair. These occupational therapy equipments will give them the support they need to be successful. Funding this project will benefit the entire school's Special Education Program and support classroom teachers by enhancing student success.
