Our school is very small. We have around 150 students in the junior high. The students come from diverse types of family life and religions. About one-third of the students are Hispanic, many of which came here from Mexico and whose parents only speak Spanish. Some come from middle class working parents but a large percentage come from low income families. My students display a wide range of abilities. Many of them are visual learners, so being able to attach a video clip of the subject matter of the lesson each week helps tremendously. The students are involved in a wide variety of school activities such as sports, band, student council, and knowledge bowl.
