My afterschool program students are with us up to 3 hours after the regular school day has ended. We want them to continue to enhance their numeracy and literacy skills beyond the classroom; however, with guidance, they will be the facilitators of their own learning. To accomplish this goal, I would like for them to have mobile technology where they can work in their comfort zone in the classroom and around the school. Chromebooks computers will enable students to move about the classroom and the campus and not be limited to using the desk top computer currently available to the program.
