Staring a brand new year and I want to inspire my students to become avid readers and life-long learners by allowing students to access reading material through iPad minis. This will increase their level of learning and confidence. I see many students with reading difficulties who shut down because they are not reading on the same level of their peer. This leads to a lack of confidence and some students give up and act out since they do not comprehend what they have read. The Read 180 program provides small group and individualized instruction to help students fill gaps in reading. I need to give to give my students the ability to read more books and these iPad minis would be the best tool for that.
