Each year we embark on a new journey with our incoming 5th graders. We are given the most special of opportunities which is to not only grow them academically, but to inspire and equip them with knowledge and insight that they can carry with them in the years to come. Our students have bright futures ahead of them. Our kids are 97% low SES, but we don't let that hinder their success. We use every resource at our disposal to help them be successful, meet their goals, and prepare them as best we can for middle school. This project is something special we want to do this year. Teachers will write encouraging notes in each book with special messages for every student. The books will be given to them as they take their "last walk" through the school on the last day.

About my class
