Sitting still while working and learning can be a challenge for students. Alternative seating allows children to move while focusing on their work. Current research shows that students who have difficulty focusing do better when they are able to move while working. I am requesting the balance ball chairs, wobble stools, stackable stools, floor pillows, and bouncy bands for my students to help with brain stimulation while working on classroom assignments. By providing them with more comfortable and mobile seating I believe that their ability to stay on task will greatly improve. I want my ALL of my students to feel the joy of success and having a variety of seating options gives them the opportunity to choose what is best for them. I want them all to be excited to come to the classroom each day!
