My fourth graders LOVE to READ! When they found out about this years list of Sunshine State Young Readers Award Books, they could not stop asking when they could go to the library to start checking them out. Our school has a Sunshine State Readers Program for students who read these award winning books and they can work towards: A. Making the Book Battle Team and/or B. Attending the reward sleepover, at the end of the year...what AWESOME incentives! Unfortunately, our school library only has a few copies of each book. With several hundred 3-5 graders, this is going to be tough for them to get their hands on a copy of the book they are interested in. I think it will be wonderful to have two copies of each book for our class library-- to share and borrow. With our own class set we will not have to worry about the availability of these books.
