The use of the Kindle Fire tablets will be used daily. They will be especially used during the reading block. Students will use them during their Daily Five rotations. The tablets will help when reading to self and listening to reading. Students will be able to grab a tablet, find a special location in the classroom and adventure off into a good book. The students I work with come from low income family households and rarely have the chance to read a book at home or let alone work with technology. This allows them to read and get the experience of using technology. Students will be able to choose books through reading apps, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. With your donation my students will have access to choose a variety of books at their independent reading level. They will also be able to choose a variety of books of their choice through certain reading apps and build the love of reading. The best way to increase their reading ability is to read more, and these tablets will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
