We are an sixth grade science class in a small low income rural community. There are very few resources that can be used to assist in our science classes. We re truly excited about science and would love more hands-on experiments for our lessons in science. The curriculum is great and there are around 100 students that I come in contact with everyday and that's just half of the sixth grade. We have no lab and no equipment to use in the classroom. The experiments materials we have used for our experiments have been furnished by the students and with today's economy, I dislike having to ask the students to bring in materials for our experiments but that is, at this time, the only means of getting hands-on experiences in the classrooms. The students are eager to learn and excited about new things each day and I want and need help in achieving this for them.
