Kids want to read great books! The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater is one of those books that will captivate kids. With the 30 copies of the book, multiple students can check it out and read it. Students will want to read and discuss what happened to Sasha. They will be enthralled with Richard's plight as he unwittingly enters the juvenile justice system. Our school's LGTBQ+ student group, Safezone, will also be participating in a book study using The 57 Bus. Teachers will also be able to use the copies in their classrooms as a whole class novel, literature circles, and/or as an independent reading choice.
