My students have a curiosity about the world and how it works that never ceases to amaze me! We have about 120-130 third graders. My elementary school is embracing the new common core standards and STEM by using hands-on lessons and activities to teach students about the world around them. From the first day of school my students are scientists and they will learn that making mistakes, evaluating them, and then trying again is what good learners do! Our school is K-5 campus and every grade level will be embarking on teaching STEM modules through Project Lead the Way. STEM modules give students access to a challenging and engaging curriculum that will teach them how to be ready for careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. My school is ready and excited to help our kids become college and career ready!
