Help create life-long readers and thoughtful citizens by increasing the diversity and depth of the books in our English curriculum. I teach 10th and 11th Grade English Language Arts and Advanced Placement Literature in a high-needs high school in New York, and my students are from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. While they struggle with many obstacles in their own lives, they also bring a wealth of insight and experience to the classroom. I've been teaching for fourteen years now, and my students continue to enrich my life as much as I hope I enrich their lives. Many have gone on to study at fine universities, and I couldn't be happier for them. Your generous donations make all the difference in the world.
