The students in my class have overcome many obstacles in their lives to learn and this will give them the added confidence to accomplish more! My classroom will greatly benefit from additional science resources that will aid in delivering instruction and increasing student motivation. Approximately 95% of my students are English Learners 80% have qualified for free and reduced lunch, and 9% are receiving special educational services. They have learned to love science, but their greatest obstacle is grasping the content without visuals or physical connection. I have 50 eager fifth grade students who love to question and explore as they learn.
