My students need to develop their English language skills and a listening center is a fun interactive way for my students to practice their listening skills, build vocabulary, and be exposed to different genres. The rhythm sticks will help my students develop auditory and fine motor skills. My students will develop their English listening skills and will become proficient readers. Most of the centers I currently have in my classroom have been purchased with my own money. Unfortunately I have gone over my budget and without the help of generous donors, my students will not be able to have access to literature on their own and will rely only on our daily read aloud to develop listening and vocabulary skills.
