My students are amazing! Again, I teach in a Title I high school and over 75% of our students are below the poverty level. Our school has about 1750 students and 120 teachers. Many of them do not have access to the Internet at home and this is a real disadvantage when giving them assignments. They are hard workers and they love opportunities to work with computers and getting to do technology based projects or presentations. My students range from 9th-12th grade. Many of my students can't afford the necessities of everyday life, let alone the necessary technology needed to get them ready to graduate high school and prepare for college. I keep food in the "Snack Stash" for my students and many days I give my own lunch away or pay for students to eat in the cafeteria. I have many students who spend their lunches with me to get help in looking for scholarships and filling out college applications. Having these iPads would allow me to assist so many more students with these things.
