I have recently transferred schools (from high poverty to more moderate income) and grade levels (2nd to 3rd). I have been assigned the ELL students (English Language Learners). I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead. In preparation for my new grade level I have purchased the year long bundle of Rooted in Reading. It contains a set of lesson plans and activities that focus around a read-aloud story each week. The teacher reads the book throughout the week and models how to think deeply, ask questions, monitor comprehension, and so much more. Each week we will focus on different comprehension skills and strategies.

About my class
