All the students will participate in group activities on the rug. I purposely selected this rug because of its inclusive theme. It has been my experience that often student's require a couple unplanned breaks especially they are cognitively challenged. The use of the timer and the bean bags allow the student and I to monitor those breaks. The other core supplies tie back to my philosophy that a classroom should not be over stimulating for any learner. Often times "less is more". The removal chart paper can be an anchor chart for an ELA or Math topic but remove when necessary.
