My students are minorities living in a city where 38.6% of families are living below the poverty line. They are intelligent, street smart and because of their environment outside school, they can be difficult to motivate when it comes to learning. I teach a course called Senior Seminar. I walk students through the college application process, and teach them personal financial literacy. We do important work on our room to make sure productive adults leave our school. Our high school has very little technology or resources to help me in my mission to create well rounded adults and I'm trying to change that, with the help of you and DonorsChoose.org
