My students are amazing little individuals. There is nothing in the world like a classroom of five- and six-year-old children. It is the most fun place to be but it also carries with it the most responsibility. For most of these students, this is their first experience in school which means that it needs to be the best. They come to me with diverse backgrounds which need to be recognized. They need to be nurtured. We have a lot of military families which means sadly a lot of deployed mommies and daddies. You have to be so strong and brave to carry on everyday knowing that your mommy or daddy is so far away and fighting for our country. Our school is only ten years old and in that short time we have made into a loving community. We try our hardest to make a learning environment where everyone will be successful and prosper but sometimes we need a little extra help.
