My students are incredibly hard workers who often times can't afford calculators of their own. They have such great attitudes and vibrant personalities, but many of them come from high poverty families that don't emphasize the importance of education. A large portion of my students love science but struggle when math is added to the subject. I try to provide them with a safe learning environment where they can feel comfortable to learn new skills and practice a subject which is unfamiliar to many.
