My STEAM Lab is all about experiencing Science Technology, Engineering, Art design/the Arts and Math in an engaging, hands-on learning environment. My students want to explore the world of coding and robotics. They want to experience the science and technology behind some of the great educational technology tools there are available. I want to teach them how to code using Cubelets because this product is developmentally appropriate, improves socialization, increases engagement and improves the level of rigor. Kids learn best through play, and my students love to work with hands-on projects! Cubelets will move students away from the lonely interface of a computer screen and into active collaboration with each other. This will challenge them to use higher order thinking skills like evaluation, application, analysis, and synthesis. All of these job skills will be required in the 21st century. “Cubelets is the perfect tool to deeply investigate robotics. Cubelets are a groundbreaking robot construction system designed for budding innovators ages four and up. Cubelets were designed to teach the big lessons behind complex systems, design thinking, and emergence with tiny robots. Cubelets come​ complete with everything inventors, young and old, need to build thousands and thousands of interactive robots.”
