I teach first grade in a urban neighborhood public school in Erie, PA. The children and families in our school community are a diverse cross section of many different cultures, ethnic groups and languages. Forty-three percent of our students are minorities. I currently have 24 students enrolled in my class. Our administration and staff create a warm and welcoming school environment for students and families.
