The experiments my students will be able to conduct will address the science standard MS-PS3-2. Develop a model to describe that when the arrangement of objects interacting at a distance changes, different amounts of potential energy are stored in the system. Having my students collaborate and develop models together will enable them to participate in a skill they missed during COVID distance learning. For many of them, this is the first time they get to work on an experiment in middle school. They will be very excited to see the results of magnets and electricity working together.
