My students come from diverse backgrounds. Some of my students are very eager to read, while some are not. Those who are not eager to read are very low and may be reading at a second grade level instead of a fourth grade level. My school is a low income school. Our students experience things that many of us do not. Some come from violent homes and others come from loving, education driven homes. My students are amazing and are capable of reaching the fourth grade benchmarks if given a chance.
