My pre-kindergarten students are full of energy when they come in to start their day of learning. They are rambunctious at times and ready to get started. We start our day with me serving them breakfast, and then we share in the clean-up. My students look forward to our morning activities which begin with me reading them a story. After story time they have the opportunity to play and learn in various centers (dramatic play, library, sand box, water station). My young students are 3 - 4 years of age and live in one of the "most dangerous" cities in the U.S. (it is labeled as having one of the "highest poverty rates" as well). Yet, these smiling faces come to school each day ready to learn and play!
