My students are eager learners who need extra encouragement. They have a variety of learning differences: Learning disabled, spectrum disorder, other health impaired (ADHD). They need reteaching to generalize all concepts. One of the biggest challenges they face is a lack of reading material that is appropriate and accessible at the same time. They are from all different backgrounds and cultures. Our school district services a high poverty level as well as middle income students. All races and cultures as well as economic backgrounds enjoy our medium size district. We have the highest homeless population in the county.
