My kindergarteners are technologically advanced, far more so than I am currently. They are inquisitive, inspiring, and insightful. I want to encourage their curiosity and teach them how to ask as well as answer meaningful questions. I want to use, develop, and strengthen their skills in technology by bringing more devices into our classroom. It is more likely than not that the jobs these students will grow up and apply for will involve considerable use of technology. It is imperative that students get ample exposure to and experience with technology. At my school, there is a computer lab and several COW carts. However, none of these carts are designated for kindergarten. Our computer usage is restricted by computerized testing. This means that my kindergarteners rarely get their hands on a computer or other device. I want to change that.
