We are a Title One school with about 98% of our students on free or reduced lunch. They are sweet, hardworking young boys and girls. A high percentage of our students are also learning English as a second language. They go home and often their whole family is living in one room. The family wants to help but often they are working and are unable to assist their child. Their desire for knowledge is a motivating factor. They love to read and get smarter everyday. I love to teach and watch their faces light up when they are able to figure out a word.
