Students in our program have a variety of disabilities such as Autism, Intellectual and Learning Disabilities, Communication and Other Health Impairments. A majority of our students receive Social Security and Medicaid and qualify for free and reduced lunch while at school. Next school year we are providing transition services for seventy-three students, an increase from forty-eight this year. District funding of our program covers supplies only. In order to pay for other things needed to run a successful program beyond our district budget, we create projects to help our students develop work skills as well as pay for weekly field trips. These field trips teach our students valuable social and leisure skills in the community.
