80.4% of the students who passed the fitness test either met or exceeded state standards in math, compared with only 65.8 percent of students who didn't pass the fitness test. A similar divide was apparent in the reading scores. 84% of the students who passed the fitness test met or exceeded state standards in reading, while only 71 percent of students who failed the fitness test hit those benchmarks. My students need equipment to facilitate this need. I want to introduce my students to a love of sports in hopes that they will continue to be active for the rest of their lives. Students will use the basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, and frisbee discs in organized physical education play. They will play matches, do drills, and use the equipment for tournaments within the class.
