I have a wonderfully diverse class with many different learning styles and abilities. My students are bright, intuitive, and creative. My school pulls from a varied socioeconomic demographic and my classroom reflects that. I work with a fantastic faculty, and extremely supportive parents and administration. Unfortunately, our school budget is insufficient for the technology needs of a 21st Century classroom. The technology funds we do have are wisely spent on updating the computer lab and classroom projectors; projects that benefit the whole school. However, there is rarely money left for individual classroom computers let alone enough to facilitate a whole group of students. I currently have 6 dinosaur computers that constantly freeze or crash. I spend more time fixing them than the students do using them.
