Our school is a Title I school. Our poverty level is 93%. Most of our children do not have a traditional family. They are being raised by their grandparents, great-grandparents or other family members. Despite all that our staff does to intervene, many will not receive any educational experiences past high school. They will never have the chance to experience different cultures other than their own. Many of our students are more driven and successful with related arts than other areas. For some, the success they feel in special area classes at school are what drives them to attend school.
