In this brand new microbiology class, we are learning about bacteria, viruses, food poisoning, antibiotic use and abuse, vaccines and biotechnology. The kids are eager to swab surfaces (think doorknobs, phones, desks) and see what grows. How gross and exciting at the same time. My students are all interested in science careers, and this donation will help support their curiosity. Many of them are earning a special notation on their diploma in the biomedical field. While the school has been able to purchase many things, the list of needs is greater than what can be covered at this time. Many of the items carried huge price tags. These trays will help us safely stain the bacteria to make slides and then we can look at them under the microscopes! Thank you!
