My students are intelligent, excitable and relentless. Whenever they encounter something that may be unfamiliar to them inside the classroom, they greet it head on! They have such imaginative minds, and I enjoy being the one that is able to ignite their passions on a daily basis. My school is Title I (low-income), and we are located in the heart of a suburban/urban area. The income level of most of our families is quite low, and therefore some students lack the necessary educational resources at home. I put a much higher level of expectation on myself knowing that my instruction may be the only glimpse into authentic learning that my students see on a daily basis.
