Our school is a high-needs comprehensive high school in Northern California. Our students are primarily Latino and many come from migrant farm families. Our low-income community is known for its low-performing schools. Many of our students read and write significantly below grade level. However, our school is fighting the odds. We are a dedicated staff that works hard to engage our students and create meaningful project-based learning opportunities. Yet, our school is chronically underfunded and most classrooms lack basic resources, especially technology. In addition, our school lacks parent and community involvement.
